The Interaction Dynamics Lab is a interdisciplinary research group, based in the University of California Santa Cruz, directed by Dr. Elin Carstensdottir.

Our mission is to harness the power of technologically-mediated storytelling and play by delving into their design, development, and the way audiences experience them. With this expertise, we craft innovative tools and experiences and deepen understanding of their use across diverse technological applications—whether it's creating impactful and entertaining games, developing AI tools for research and design, or exploring the many possible applications of virtual agents across these domains.
